Our Campaign ideas research and development

During our last team meeting, one of our tasks as individuals is to research a charity that we felt strongly about and could be promoted and delivered within a new The Body Shop campaign. We will then present our chosen charity to the team and decide which we all can agree upon. As we have found from our research The Body Shop tends to link their campaign with an existing charity that needs more media coverage. I have chosen to suggest charities that help stop female mutilation.

'In support of women's rights, we retail 100% vegetable wax "Candles of Conscience" all-year round instore which helps Women’s Aid Organisation in their work on domestic violence against women, and Sisters In Islam in their advocacy work on issues Muslim women are facing.'

Ongoing campaign ideas

The group have been trying to pin point the issue to address and promote for our campaign idea. Lots of ideas have been brought to the table, we all can agree on the issue of the pressures of teens and children feel to look a certain way due to the exposure of modern technology and popular celebrity culture, Photoshopped idols plastered over the internet, young people are being given false, unrealistic expectations of what their appearance should be using what the media portraying as normal.
